Play tennis and help raise money for a very important cause! Once again this year we are holding our immensely popular Matthew Shepard Tennis Jam to collect funds for The Matthew Shepard Foundation.

Event Date: Saturday, October 24th,  12pm-4pm

Rain date: Sunday, October 25th, 12pm-4pm

The Matthew Shepard Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that promotes tolerance and acceptance of all people regardless of sexual orientation, color, religion and culture. The organization's primary mission is to visit schools and community/religious organizations throughout the country to dispel fear, educate and encourage people to embrace and celebrate diversity. The Foundation has also successfully lobbied for the extension of the federal hate crime laws to include punishment for crimes committed and motivated by LGBT fear and hatred. Please visit  www.matthewshepard.org for more information on this wonderful organization.

Our Matthew Shepard Tennis Jam will consist of round-robin tennis from 12PM to 4PM. We will have food, drink and a grand raffle with lots of cool prizes. This will be a non-competitive tennis event. All playing levels are welcome, and everyone will be randomly mixed up for game play. The goal here is not competition but rather to socialize, play tennis and enjoy the company of those around you both on and off the court. This event is a celebration of life and of our diversity. During off-court time you can meet and talk to fellow MTG-ers and engage other non-MTG players who are supporting the event.

Suggested donation is $30. More generous donations are encouraged. All donations are tax deductible and go directly to help fund the organization's work.

Please contact Nader Kassis for more information and/or to help volunteer at the event.Nader.Kassis@gmail.com/646-467-1620

Donations to the Matthew Shepard Foundation can also be made on MTG's Donations page.

Hope to see you all there!
