Come play tennis and help raise money for a very important cause!

The Matthew Shepard Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, which promotes tolerance and acceptance of all people regardless of sexual orientation, color, religion and culture.  The organization's primary mission is to visit schools and local/religious organizations throughout the country to dispel fear, educate and encourage people to embrace and celebrate diversity.  Two years ago The Matthew Shepard Foundation successfully lobbied for the extension of the federal hate crime laws to include punishment for crimes committed and motivated by LGBT fear and hatred..

Please visit for more information on this wonderful organization.
Suggested donation is $30.  More generous donations are encouraged.  All donations are tax deductible and go directly to help fund the organization's work.
Our Matthew Shepard Tennis Jam will consist of round robin tennis from 12PM to 4PM.  We will have food, drink and a grand raffle with lots of exciting prizes.
This will be a non-competitive tennis event.  All playing levels are welcome and everyone will be randomly mixed up for game play.  The goal here is not competition, but rather to socialize, play tennis and enjoy the company of those around you both on and off the court. This event is a celebration of life and of our diversity.  During off-court time you will meet and talk to fellow MTG-ers and embrace other non-MTG players who are supporting the event.

Please contact Daniel Arzuaga for more information and/or to help volunteer at the event. or 646.417.0910

Donations to the Matthew Shepard Foundation can also be made on MTG's Donations page.

Event Date: Saturday, October 5th
Rain date: Sunday, October 6th

Hope to see you all there!
