We are proud to welcome our new board members, John Biers and Nader Kassis. John Biers is our new Secretary and Nader Kassis is our new Social Events Director.

The positions of Communications Director and Membership Director are still open and we will be launching a “special” election in November for these two positions. Letters of Intent for these positions must be submitted to Stuart at on or before November 2. In the next few weeks, we will be actively soliciting and promoting these positions for consideration. If you would like to run for one of the open positions on the board, here is your chance.

We will also be relaunching steering committees to help focus on MTG specific needs.  The committees will be:

  1. Courts & Events Committee: to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with court venues, as well as facilitate the running monthly MTG events.

  2. Sponsorship Committee: to focus on developing and maintaining relationships with current and new sponsors (corporate and individual).

  3. Newsletter Committee: In the “old days,” MTG had a newsletter that was sent out monthly. While we would now do it electronically, we would like to start the newletter up again. It’s a great way of communicating news in our MTG community and creating greater awareness amongst our members.

I encourage you all to consider running for these open board positions, or becoming a volunteer on a committee. It is very rewarding to be involved in an activity we so enjoy. The rewards are great and the effort you instill directly improves the quality and tenor of our group.

Should you have any questions about the Board positions up for election, these committees or other ways in which you can volunteer, please don't hesitate to contact Stuart at
